Anyone using multiple drives with an Airport Extreme?

Ok so the networked drive feature is suppose to support multiple usb drives connected via a hub. I'm just wondering if any this works well in the real world?

I have 3 Macs and am increasingly feeling the need to be able to access my 3 external drives in a central location. I'm hoping that I can network them all through the APX. I want to be able to network my media information, EyeTV library, iTunes library, iPhoto library and ripped DVD library. Right now I do it by sharing the drives through the particular machine they are attached to. I works ok but I have to make sure that the drives are mounted and the machine is awake plus I have libraries scattered on various drives.

I'm not worried about the wireless performance for video and such because my network is hardwired.

Any thoughts?
