Can't edit info in iTunes 7.5

Has anyone else had this problem? When trying to put new music onto iTunes 7.5 (with OS X Leopard), I cannot edit the info. Is there anything I can do?

I've not seen that. When you bring up the info for a song or songs, what's going on to prevent you from changing the song info?

All I can figure is that it is a permissions issue.

For stuff that was on there before the Leopard upgrade, there is no problem changing info.

It's only stuff I've tried to put on since then.

Updated to 7.6 via download, and the problem persists.

I did. It had no effect whatsoever. Info, Lyrics, and Artwork are all grayed out.

On further inspection, I tried setting the permissions for the entire hard drive and it worked very briefly and then after a short time things switched back to the status quo.

I can also no longer save new files on GarageBand.
