Middle name "Wayne" murderers.

Its happened again, this time in Texas. Two East Texas sheriff's deputies were shot dead last week and 47 year old Randall Wayne Mays has been charged.
Did a quick search on this subject and it does seem that the name "Wayne" might have more than its share of bad vibes.
I have an uncle named Paul Wayne. He's a really nice guy, but I'm watching him closely.

As a test, I'm going to change my last name to Wayne and then name my child Wayne Wayne Wayne.

Granted, that may cause him some social problems unrelated to having the middle name 'Wayne' though.

I knew a guy with the first name of Wayne, but his only known crime was sitting at the bottom of the water slide with a video camera, hoping to catch girls with their tops down.

I dunno, I'm no more messed up than a lot of other people from my home town (Detroit) which happens to be in Wayne county. As is my alma mater, Wayne State University. Both the county and the university were named after a general nicknamed "Mad Anthony".

So, there's nuthin' wrong with the name Wayne, especially when it's a middle name.

You got a problem wit dat?

Actually, i noticed a few years ago that a surprising number of people whose first and middle names are "John Wayne" have done bad things. John Wayne Gasey and John Wayne Bobbitt come to mind. No, they aren't both serial killers, but I know there are others I didn't think of right here.

They flutter behind you, your possible pasts.
Some bright-eyed and crazy, some frightened and lost.

I used to be a photographer in a large water park. We used to spend our lunch hour at the water slides with 35mm cameras poised. Of course, it was for documentary purposes only. You know, in case of an injury lawsuit or something.
