Help me remember the name of this book?

I remember reading a book in high school about a girl whose cousin (I think) comes to visit. Turns out it wasn't her cousin and the girl and her friends suspect this woman, who turns out not to be a teenager but a woman in her 20s, of being a witch. I believe the book was written in first person. I recall the main character being red-headed and I think her boyfriend's name was Mike ?? Help! I'm sure the book's out of print. High school was 22 years ago.

Summer of Fear (1976) by Lois Duncan, filmed for tv by Wes Craven as Stranger in Our House (1978)????

IMdb.com summary:

Quote:
A teenage girl's life is turned upside down after her cousin moves into her house, and as time goes by, she begins to suspect that she may be a practitioner of witchcraft.

That's the story of Django Reinhardt, adapted for jocks.

It's probably about Mordecai Brown. I don't know the specific book you're looking for, but maybe searching on his name would lead you to it.

I remember looking for a book title one time. I remembered virtually nothing, but went to crazy lengths to find out what it was. I just knew it was a childrens' mystery that took place in one of those high rises designed for a person to live, work and shop all without leaving the building. I searched for hours on Amazon, with nothing to go on but something like "kids mystery apartment." Really, that's all the crazy there was. A few days later, I happened to turn on the TV and saw an advertisement for a new made-for-TV adaptation of a childrens' mystery. I knew almost instantly that it was my forgotten book. "The Westing Game" by Ellen Raskin. I bought it the next day, and it was still a fun read.
