Gunther van Hagens is a somewhat disturbing person I must surmise.
"Did you know that more people are murdered at 92 degrees Fahrenheit than any other temperature? I read an article once. Lower temperatures, people are easy-going, over 92 and it's too hot to move, but just 92, people get irritable."

I've seen Body Worlds 1 and one of my friends has seen 1 and 3 and said the exhibits appear to be nearly identical.

Still trying to decide if I should go see it while it's here in Houston. While the concept sounds interesting on the one hand, on the other, I've already systematically dissected a human body. There's not much I haven't seen. Then again, these would all be in one piece.

So, have they split the big exhibit into 3 smaller ones? I caught Body Worlds in L.A. over a year and a half ago and it was a HUGE exhibit that took well over an hour to get through. At that point the only U.S. stop was in L.A., and I was thankful that it coincided with my trip out there...
While I thought I would be really queasy going through it, it took my back to my art school days and just looking at anatomy, which I find fascinating. It's definitely somethign to go see.

I had no idea there were three exhibits. One is enough for me, I'll bet. I'll be seeing the one in St. Paul. How much do they charge, or do they charge?
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!

Just back from seeing it at the Franklin Inst in Philly. $25 to get in, took about an hour plus to waltz thru the whole exhibit. Pretty fricking fascinating. Who knew all that stuff fit inside like that?!
After a visit to The Mutter Museum that morning, Body Worlds was a great topper to a sort of morbid day.

Alan. According to the SMM website, looks like $26 will get you an OMNI movie and admission to see the displays. You can order tickets on-line
