Coffee/Alcohol combinations...

I'm a coffee addict and when I go out sometimes I like to have a coffee drink with a bit of alchol mixed in. I'm wanting to make some of my own and was wondering what you like to use? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Such drinks improve the DVD watching experience.

Isn't this a bit off topic for this particular forum? Well, more than a bit. Moderators?

After Hours...Drinks.... seems the perfect combination to me.

"Did you know that more people are murdered at 92 degrees Fahrenheit than any other temperature? I read an article once. Lower temperatures, people are easy-going, over 92 and it's too hot to move, but just 92, people get irritable."

And then when I feel so stuffed I can't eat anymore, I just use the restroom! And then I CAN eat more!

Since I don't drink coffee, I'm wondering what effect this combination has on the body.

Does simulaneously intaking a stimulant (caffeine) and alcohol (depressant) cancel each other out?

Strange timing. I just read in the paper last night about college kids mixing the sports drinks (heavy on the caffeine) with alcohol. They stated that they get more drunk because the caffeine helps keep them energized, so effect wise, they do cancel each other out. You just have to realize that you are more drunk them you seem to be I guess.

My traditional Christmas Eve drink is a big mug of strong coffee with a shot of Makers Mark bourbon in it. Coffee also goes well with Irish Whiskey, Sambuca (add three whole beans), brandy, or any full flavored, non-fruit, non-candy cordial - amaretto, anisette, Benedictine etc. is good, but Chambord, Schnapps and (this is only my opinion) Grand Marnière in coffee is blech.

Note: My spelling of liquors is short circuited in my brain, forgive the attempts at spell check.:b
