Just my luck, I ended up with 2 baby guinea pigs.

I woke up this morning to find 2 baby guinea pigs with the 2 older ones I already had. I had thought the 2 older ones were both female, but unfortunately one is a male. There's no denying it's the father either, because one of them looks exactly like it and both have the same type of fur. I was surprised to learn that baby guinea pigs are born with their fur and their eyes open, unlike other rodents like rats and mice. The babies are pretty much ready to go once they're born.

I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blind, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes... the Devil's eyes! I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up for I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... evil! - Dr Sam Loomis(Halloween)

Figure out which is which and separate them NOW or you will have MORE than 2 baby guinea pigs.

I seem to remember that they become mature REALLY fast, and can start making baby guinea pigs of their own in an astonishingly short amount of time.

I know which is which and I have seperated them. I had no idea that the mother was pregnant because she never really showed it.

Sounds like something out of "Gremlins." Did you get them wet?

Whatever you do, don't feed them after midnight!

Do they normally have only 2 babies at a time? Other rodents have much bigger litters.

It's probably not a good idea to separate them while they are still dependent on the mother's milk.

Was there ever any doubt? I mean, is there a "traveling salesman" male guinea pig in the neighborhood?

There's always paternity court.......................
