Is there a coach in the NFL you would like to have less than Mike Martz?

Tice would be his only competition, IMO.

Scott,
Aren't you forgetting the Clock manager for the Eagles..aka the former Head Coach of the Lions? I think you'd take Martz over him.

I was only referring to current head coaches as I would probably take Martz over all three of the previous Lion's coaches.

So, my Raiders have signed Curtis Martin's backup as the supposed salvation of their moribund running game. Excuse me if I'm not overcome with optimism.

I don't see much of an upgrade from Tyrone Wheatley unless Jordan can stay healthier than Wheatley did.

Rob,
What are your other alternatives given who's out there and then they gave up their #7 pick to another team. Yeah they could take a chance in the draft but I don't think many teams pencil those guys in as starters so quickly.

Not to mention the addition of Moss will hopefully alleviate some of those 8 and 9 man fronts. We don't need a great back [daydream] ahh.... Bo....[/daydream] but a good one that stays healthy and can catch the ball out of the backfield would work out great.

Good lord, there's nothing worse than the foul stench of desperation when someone wants to be famous.

Bo and Marcus on the same team was unbelievable. At least in Techmo Bowl it was.

Shane, I assumed the question was regarding head coaches. But, yes, I would definitely take Martz over Mornhinweg -- or the previous two Lions head coaches, as Jed pointed out.

...Well, technically, it would be three of the last four, since Gary Moeller coached them for 3 games after Bobby "abandon ship" Ross quit.

Rob, LaMont Jordan was probably Oakland's best option, especially considering their salary cap situation. He's certainly a better option than trying to recruit Ricky Williams by planting a pot garden at the Raiders practice facility.

LOL! I never thought about that especially with all the medical marijuana in the Bay Area. They could probably get him pretty cheap.

Jordan's not a bad pickup for the Raiders. He's done well when he's gotten the ball, he just hasn't been given the opportunity to start. He has a 4.9 yard avg for his career. He's also big enough at 5'10" 230lb to be an every down back. The Raiders just need to hope that their offensive line is going to be good enough to open holes and give Collins time to throw.

Just about every running back in the NFL can stay healthier than Wheatley which is an upgrade in itself.

Yeah it was...

As for Jordan, I'm obviously happy about this. He doesn't have a lot of mileage on him serving as Martin's backup but everytime I've seen him play he's done something impressive. I think this guy's the real deal, or at least he's worth finding out about anyway.

As for the coach thing, its Marts and Tyse in the coach I'd really really not want bowl. At least now that Dennis Ericson, Butch Davis, Steve Spurior and Dave Wanstadt are out of the NFL.

Cheap? We could get him to pay us. He'd be the first guy in NFL history who's salary actually caused you to have more cap room...problem is that he'd never leave.
