I've been in a few of those types of games in JV high school ball. Our opponent was faster than us, so in order to control the pace of the game, we would stall. We'd get a 2 or 3 point lead and then our point guard literally sat down between the 3-point line and half-court. The defense wouldn't engage for several minutes. I can understand the strategy, but it's just plain retarded to bring a game to that level.
