I can tell you how to fix it. It'll cost you about $40.

Go to home depot, you'll probably find it in the garden section. Look for the section labled 'Trash Cans' or 'Garbage Cans' Buy one that does not yet stink. Bring it home. Voila- fixed!

THe hard part is throwing out the old garbage can. Took me three tries before they finally took away my old one. I had to cut it nearly in half before they figured out it was trash.

That's too funny. I was thinking of asking the same thing. Mine really reeks. Unfortunately, I just can't go buy a new one. Mine is provided by the city.

Maybe you could scrub it out with hot, soapy bleach water if buying a new one is not an option. Be sure to wear gloves.

How about some bleach. Put some in a spray bottle and have at it.

Bleach is good, so is regular laundry detergent.

You will have to scrub; this is not a spray in/spray out type of thing.

Go to your local Sams club and buy a product called "Odo-ban"
my father uses it on his outside trash can and it seems to work pretty good

you could also haul it down to the local high pressure car wash and wash it out if you do not feel like scrubbing it out inside

May I suggest dumping it from time to time?
