Cabin Air Filters

I finally decided to change the cabin air filters in my cars. The 2002 Taurus was a bit of a pain. Filter is under the windshield cowl on passenger side. Needed to figure out how to remove cowl, lift up rain shield and reach in to get it. Once removed, the filter was disgusting, dirty and moldy. The Windstar is easy, it has an access door on the firewall, but 3 autoparts stores I went to didn't have it in stock. Cabin air filters apparently aren't a big inventory item in parts stores. Not a very exciting sat night here obviously.

Them things is pricey! Dealership wanted $35.00 apiece for mine.

Jiffy Lube had them for $20.00 for the pair!

The real pain on my car is the engine airfilter. You have to take half the hoses off the engine to get to it!
