Anyone own a Chimnea?

Hello. It's BBQ season and while the weather isn't super hot, I'm breaking in my metal Chimnea. Does anyone own one? Advice on how to start a good fire? My biggest concern is putting the fire out once we're done with it. It has a metal grating which wraps all around and a top with a lid.

For starting a fire, I just do it as I normally would in a fireplace, with pitchwood (or fatwood, as it's also known) and kindling.

As for putting the fire out, I recommend just letting it burn down. You'll know when it's getting to be that time to call it a night and just stop putting wood on the fire and let everything burn down to ash.

I do not, repeat DO NOT use water to put out the fire, as the sudden shift in temperature may cause the chiminea to crack, which is bad.
