Robot Dancing

LINK

I think this is pretty impressive. The only thing that they really dont have down pat is the walking.

That really is impressive. To think, just a couple more years and the walking part will be down. It's basically one foot forward, fall forward, foot down to support yourself. Everyone practice.

The hell with that. I want a robot that cleans the bathroom, dusts the house, and really vacuums the floors.

For beauty is only a step removed from a burning terror we barely sustain, and we worship it for the graceful sublimity with which it disdains to consume us. - Rainer Maria Rilke

How much longer until they come out with tech enabled suits like the one in "Tuxedo" so that you don't actually have to have any talent to dance?

At least in the future, my child won't need to worry about having no one to dance with at the Prom

actually, that robot is already running. check out this link Qrio

pretty amazing stuff, i've been following it as much as possible. check out this entire site, including all the product information stuff. it goes into a lot of detail about what it can do so far. it can walk up and down stairs, play soccer, and if you push it over, it'll brace for impact and right itself. i want one.

Running..bah! I will continue to be unimpressed until a robot can juggle chainsaws.

One question about Qrio: Who decided on that "head"? It looks like it is on upside-down!
