Incredibly Stupid Criminal
The only link I can find for this story requires registration (WFAA.com), so I've pasted the relevant text here:
FW man uses back of his resume to write threatening note during robbery
07/23/2003
Quote:
A Fort Worth man robbed a Wells Fargo bank last week and used the back of his resume to write a threatening note to the bank teller, police said.
Frederick McDowell, 32, apparently tried to conceal his personal information by taping black construction paper over the front of his resume. Authorities removed the tape and discovered his name and work history.

Black construction paper! That'll fool those CSI guys!

We've seen a lot of stupid criminals in our day, but Aaron Bell deserves special recognition.
When this 19-year-old West Philadelphia man decided to commit armed robbery, he chose to hit the same KFC store where he was working.
He didn't wear a mask. He didn't sport a disguise. He didn't try to hide his face.
He also didn't get any money.
The safe he tried to force his boss to open was time-locked - a detail he should have known from his two years of employment as a chicken cook at the KFC at 43rd and Market streets. The safe locks down at 9 p.m. Bell and an unidentified accomplice tried to rob the store at 9:15 on Oct. 2, 2001. |

If he had it to do over again, Tacuma G. Wolfe would presumably be less cooperative with police investigating an alleged sexual assault at his home. Officers arrived at the 31-year-old Muncie man's house on South Elliott Street on May 3, investigating allegations he had raped a female visitor a few hours earlier.
Taken to city hall for questioning, Wolfe maintained the sex had been consensual. He also said he had paid his accuser for her favors with cocaine.
According to court documents, Wolfe told officers "he had more cocaine in [his home] and could verify what he was telling them."
Wolfe and police returned to his house, the documents said, "where he took officers inside and showed them where he had cocaine hidden in an overhead light fixture."
Wolfe has since been charged with dealing in cocaine, a class A felony carrying a standard 30-year prison term - 10 years longer than the maximum penalty for a rape conviction. |

Venture County Star, Ventura, CA, 9/15/98
Displaying a persistence that defied comman sense, a man with a history of run-ins with the law returned yet a third time in as many days to rob the same Ventura, California, residence, according to police. This time, however, would be different. When resident William "Billy" Stubbert opened the door, his alleged attacker advanced aggressively. Stubbert fired twice, hitting the man in the arm and hip. "It's apparent these guys are clear-cut victims," said Ventura Police Sgt. Bob Anderson of Stubbert and his roommates.

|
Then when the police went to McDowell's home they discovered a piece of cardboard with a bogus address number hand lettered in black magic marker stapled over the actual address numbers affixed to the house.
After kicking in the door the police observed McDowell straightening a wig while wearing a dress, at which point he began to speak in a high squeaky voice claiming his name was Suzie.

So tell me Mr. McDowell, what are three of your strengths?
Umm,
- Organization
- Creativity, and uh
- Thoughtfulness
