Lunar eclipse tonight! 5-15-03 USA

Just thought I'd put this out for anyone who's interested. It starts around 9 p.m. CST begins to peak around 10:30 pm CST and be over around 11:30 p.m. CST. The kids love these things!

Damn overcast sky in Boston!!!

Mostly cloudy here, but I did get a few good views in gaps between the clouds. I love lunar eclipses! There's nothing quite like a dark moon that appears to glow a dim red or orange yellow from within and is an obvious sphere instead of a bright disc.

Perfect here for the total and post portion. Too much daylight for the early show. Got a couple great pics - afocal through the eyepiece.

Had neighbors lined up to see, even the ones with the flood lights in their backyard. Now they know why I hate floods.
