Quick: Name something sci-fi/comic nerds might argue over
Like:
"Who would win in a fistfight, Patrick Stewart or William Shatner"
"Could ASH really make ammo back in the middle ages?"
etc.

I they were still rebuilding the Death Star when it was destroyed the second time, does that mean that innocent contractors who were working on it were killed in the process?

DC vs Marvel
Star Trek vs Star Wars
Mac vs PC vs all flavors of UNIX
Transformers vs Go-Bots (like anyone would choose the Go-Bots)
Matchbox vs Hot Wheels
etc.

The combustion of the explosion was powered by the on-board oxygen supply, which was always massively overstocked just in case the ship was damaged and tumbled wildly off in to deep space. Vader was pretty smug about having accurately predicted this outcome and he lorded it over the entire Empire for several months.

They weren't innocent, they new who they were working for. If you work with the Mob don't be surprized if you get clipped, or caught in a drive by or something.

USS Enterprise vs. the Millenium Falcon - e.g. Which propulsion system is more efficient? - Which shield arrangement is more effective? - Which would win in a fight, natch.

Oooh, got one...
If the transporters in Star Trek were real, then how could someone be removed from one space and be put in another without a resulting vaccuum effect in the place they left?
And how is it that all of the aliens on Star Trek speak english, even the ones in Enterprise, before they have the universal translators turned on?

Starting with TNG, the UTs were always turned on, only on DS9 did they have a few cases of the UT taking awhile to catch onto their syntax.
I've always believe that the UT has an adaptive holography system small enough to fit into a combadge
