Exactly.
Jin may be dead. But maybe not. All we know for certain is that he is not one of the six that gets off the Island.

And as much as I hate reset buttons. I kinda of hope they have one at the end of the series. Nadia & Jin dead. Jack a freakin mess. I wouldn't mind an ending where some stay on the island on their own accord (like Locke) and the others (incl.the random no-name cast members) get off.

Not sure why you are thinking a "reset button" would be required. The story isn't over yet. Nadia is the only one you mentioned that we can be certain is dead. And I think it's pretty clear that there will be much more to the story after we saw Jack "a freaking mess". No reset required, just the rest of the story. Jack is going to go back ... somehow (and probably some or all of the other 5 will be going with him).
