No matter which "David" wins American Idol (I'm rooting for Archie) I predict that David A. will have the more successful singing career in the long run and he's the one I would be signing if I were in the "biz." Yes, he still has some growing up to do and that will come. But the one thing that he has - and which can take him farther - is an excellent voice. There are a lot of David Cook types out there, funky hairdo, clothes or not. He's more of a showman than a singer at this point but he can't compete with David A. vocally.
In my opinion we will still be aware of David A. ten years from now, whereas David Cook will be a memory. I have nothing against David Cook. He's a likeable guy and I wish him well. I just don't see him having the vocal chops that Archie has.
