It will be interesting to see exactly what's on the Big Trail set. This film apparently was shot twice: at academy ratio on 35 mm and "widescreen" (ratio unknown) on 70 mm. Here I always heard that The Robe was the first widescreen film.

EDIT looks like 16:9 enhanced widescreen, aspect ratio of about 2.10:1.
