I owned a few hundred CDs before the digital revolution (mp3 players) and eventually ripped them all. So mostly albums, but I suspect if I were younger it would lean towards tracks.
Nowadays, I look at individual tracks as a try out and if I like them enough, I usually get the whole CD, unless its one of my favorites, then I just get the whole album.
Like Beck...when The Information came out, I didnt hesitate and got the album.
