That's the one! Not a bad film. But I watched the first episode of Space Academy and it's more like Star Trek lite. I enjoyed the first episode okay. There is worse TV sci-fi. Although I can understand if it comes off as boring. Star Trek had better effects over 10 years before it. Ark II is much more entertaining (and I'll bet Jason of Star Command is even better). But I've been craving slower paced stuff lately. It's all relaxing and quite fun.

I ordered a couple more things this weekend. They used to run these Weekend Specials, similar to ABC Afterschool Specials.

That might bring back some memories. There aren't many out right now, but I found a couple at amazon.com. I'd love a whole "busload" of these like they did with the Afterschool Specials. Stuff like the ones about the kid named Soup would be a reason to cheer. I miss those. Remember "Miss Switch"? The Littles? Hopefully it'll come flooding back!

The ones I got are from the early 80s, short movies shown in 3 parts and not designated as Weekend Specials in the amazon listings.

Cougar. Live action drama about a brother and sister taking care of the family home while the parents are away. I vaguely remember it. Probably a lot like Little House, which is a good thing to me.
Secret World of Og. Aniamted. Very popular one here. There was a short lived revival of this a short time ago. But I'll take the original for nostagia. I remember loving it. It's kind of like the movie The Goonies.
