My xa1 declared dead and unfixable by Toshiba.

so i sent my xa1 in a month ago because it stopped playing hd dvds.
after 3 weeks i gave Tweeter a call to see what was going on and they told me they ended up sending it in to Toshiba to get fixed

i just got a call today from tweeter telling me that toshiba told them that
the xa1 can't be fixed because the parts are no longer made, the
device is "too old".

so i will either be offered a new compatible device or a buyout of my service contract.

i guess if i get anew player i should expect an xa2?

I DO expect the amount i paid for the player if i get a buyout, $800.00
only trouble is what aout the 33 or so hd dvds i have.

well it lasted almost 2 years.
good thing i paid $40 for a service plan i guess.
