Re: HTF DVD REVIEW: Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street: 2-Disc Special Edition

I highly recommend this as well.

The sound hits you at first (I had to lower my surrounds for the 2nd time this week), and is amazing. Soundtrack was downloaded thereafter (fave track/song is Johanna).
I was surprised that it sounded better than the usual Elfman orchestration.

While the opening credits suggest that this was made for HD out of necessity, the main picture itself is quite good. I never saw any artifacts listed above (save for both opening and closing credits, which is normally affected by compression). HD would have increased sharpness, and possibly the colour of the blood perhaps?

Why was it (a pale) ORANGE? Okay, it was red in the opening montage. Just kept detracting from the scene.

For a moment, I thought they'd sing through everything, but no, so phew, lol.
