Rousseau's death didn't work very well for this viewer. That "I love you" scene was terrible; it's only purpose was to underscore what followed.

I was so puzzled by the scene that I remembered that someone was "suppose to die" (they day they do away with this sort of promotion will be a great day indeed) and thought "Oh. I guess it's her. That's why they have her acting out that idiotic scene."
