For me, this wasn't the best episode of the series but rather
the most significant. There were so many long-standing
questions answered, though I'll admit they may not be truthful.

For the first time, I see Ben as being one of the "good guys,"
which may be exactly the false deviation the writers want us
to believe.

What I loved most about this episode is that, as pointed out in
this thread, made specific references to things said in past episodes.
It finally feels like the writers knew exactly where they were going
a full season ago which we are finally catching up with today.

In short, this episode proved to me that the show was very
well developed from the standpoint of the writers.

Also, pay very close attention (for those that want to) to the
spoiler posted by NickO. If you freeze frame the image
of Jacob you find out who he actually is or taking the form of.
