Well, the simplest fix really is: don't use the TV speakers.

I don't know where in the audio chain the delay comes from. If you have the "picture" coming from your cable box, and the audio from the cable box to the TV, then I can't imagine how the two would not be synced.

If you have audio from the cable box to your HT receiver, then out and into the TV, you might be getting a delay there. Can't imagine why, though!
