I have the sound on the tv on because the tv gets awesome sound but I would also like the surround effect. I have used the same cables and hookups as I did on my older 42" hd rear projection with no problem. The tv audio is behind just enough to set the echo. Even with the surround off there is still a delay from the tv audio to the video.
