I'd be quite skeptical about this from a writing standpoint, as it's a conspiracy theory that's actually *less* compelling than the obvious answer given out on the show. At the end of the day, it would undercut and ruin the moment of revelation at the end of the episode from "OMG Kate's raising Claire's baby" to "OMG Kate named her kid Aaron."
