Re: American Idol - Season 7
Thanks for the list, Patrick. I can't remember twelve people, so I'll use your post as a reference (not commenting about everyone, though).
I thought Kristy Lee was better than the judges did. She's got a good voice and I think she did okay with the song. Couldn't have been terribly memorable, because I don't even remember what she sang right now, but not bad.
Alaina, I didn't care for her style. I can't describe it, but she did that Britney thing where she kind of adds an "mmm" to the start of her phrases. Overrated.
Amy Davis. Just not very good. I don't know why people pick lifeless songs when the judges never like them. And, beyond being lifeless, she was having real problems hitting her notes. Orlando Perry had the same performance last night, though he was actually slowing down an already slow song.
Brooke White, I agree with Randy. A little rough at first, but she worked it out. It's unfortunate that she was duplicating a song from last night, but in the end that shouldn't matter.
Alexandrea, this was the first best performance of the night. I think she rocked the BS&T. Suspenders over a white t-shirt with that body was working, too. Um, how old is she again? Pretend you didn't see that sentence.
Kady Malloy. Good voice, boring performance.
Syesha. This was the best performance as far as I am concerned. She's the one to beat right now.
Carly. Thank God for Simon. I thought I was going nuts when Randy was saying she was the best since the season began. I thought it was shouty and not very pleasant to listen to.
Oh, yeah. I was doing computer stuff during Asia'h's performance, so I didn't really hear it. I heard the judges praising it. Shucks for my missing it.
