Re: Director Checklist - James McTeigue

YOUR OWN ratings for these guys are decidedly less than stellar, so I don't know what you're getting all pissy about. If you think that everyone who ever shit out a movie should have a thread devoted to his work, then knock yourself out. Wouldn't want to offend the legions of Richard Boleslawski fans out there.

Who's pissy? You seemed to have some kind of gripe which you felt the need for a snarky comment so I responded in kind. There's plenty of Director threads started by others that either have films that don't interest me, have films I haven't seen or features someone I've never heard of but it doesn't bother me like it seems to bother you and I'm certainly not going to throw a hissy fit over it. Get a grip.
and FWIW - Richard Boleslawski may not have a devoted following or is fawned over by the Sight and Sound club but he does have a star on the walk of fame and some of the films that he "shit out" like Les Miserables, Rasputin, Theodora Goes Wild & The Painted Veil (both of which I still need to see) were nominated for Oscars, at the Venice Film Festival, etc and are considered genuine classics by many film scholars. Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of classic cinema would know this so maybe it's about time you enlightened yourself a bit because comments like the above make you come across like an ignorant ass (sorry but there it is). But if you're satisfied with that image then "knock yourself out".
