Re: New "HD Bargains and Deals" sub-forum?

Wow. Not much love in this thread apparently for the "Bargains and Deals" sub-forum.

On the OP's question about the need for a separate forum for HD media bargains, I would have to say I don't think it's necessary.

Frankly, I think the Bargains sub-forum is holding its own quite nicely right now with the Weekly RoundUp including the weekly deals on both SD and HD titles...and all sorts of threads about various HD BOGO deals and other various SD media and hardware deals all peacefully co-existing side-by-side. I even think most of the thread titles have done a good job of spelling out what people will find when they explore further inside those threads.

Separating bargains into two separate sub-forums for SD and HD would, I think, create the necessity for most bargain hunters to visit both since there are many forum members who have only engaged one side of the HD format war and are shopping for their HD format of choice and SD media from those studios who only support the opposition!

Just my $.02 on the subject.

You could also look at the "Software for Trade/Sale" sub-forum where you'll find a great majority of recent threads have been about HD media. I don't think though that there should be a separate sub-forum created for that either, though. There's plenty of room for both and, again, the thread titles are pretty clear about what contained within.

Jari: I would suggest that if you are looking for info on Amazon HD BOGO sales, stop into Bargains and Deals more often..because I think they've all been covered there over the past several months. Yes, you'll have to sift through the thread index which is going to contain numerous threads referencing the big U.S. media retailers like Best Buy or Circuit City...but that shouldn't be too much of a hardship.

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!
