I know most of us were strangers to you, but if we had known about you losing your wallet I'm sure that we would have found a place for you to sleep! I believe that the sofas in the rooms are convertibles, but even if not you could have slept on a sofa. Plus I've no doubt that we could have raised some cash to loan you until you got things straightened out with your bank.
