If you don't understand the history of the industry and the motivations behind the decisions involved in production and distribution, you can't fully contribute to discussions about the industry. There's more to HD vs BD than meets the eye. Just consider this thread background information to attending the next EMA and sitting on a panel discussing HD vs BD.
