Hi all, I am looking at getting a new basic receiver, mainly for 2 channel audio, but require a volume controlled subwwofer output, or 2.1. I recently looked at the HK 3480 receiver which has a sub out. Apparently, it does not have any bass management onboard. Is this a big deal, or will I do just fine with the crossover and gain on my powered sub? I see it has main in/pre out so I could add a decent surround sound processor later. Any thoughts or suggestions? Any other receivers I should look at? Need advice.
