There's a thread on the AVS about the HD DVD spec not providing 1080p/24 in Europe but BD spec does.

Peter. I was pretty sure that the 2nd generation HD-DVD plalyers did not offer 1080p/24 output but I didn't want to state this without confirmation by others.
