I used to sell laserdiscs on Ebay. Was doing pretty well too, selling off most of my collection. But then, someone with a webtv account kept bidding, promising to send payment, and never doing it.
He would do it over, and over, and over again. Each time the auction ended, he'd send an email saying "Hey, payment is in the mail. Thanks!"
Ten days later, I'd contact him again. "Hey, sorry about that. It was sent back without a stamp. I mailed it out again"
Ten days later, he stopped replying to my emails.
This happened 3 or 4 times, wasting months of time, so I just gave up selling.
As far as buying DVD-R's on Ebay, I don't think you came blame Ebay for that, as it is illegal to be selling them there.
