"Into the Blue" and "Robocop" due 8/15 on Blu-ray

Some good news for fans of Jessica Alba's posterior and a certain futuristic cop's exterior:
Quote:
As the Blu-ray format officially launches next week with the arrival of Sony's first wave of disc titles, the studio has announced two more releases due August.

Making their Blu-ray debuts on August 15 are the deep sea thriller 'Into the Blue,' and Paul Verhoeven's cult classic 'RoboCop.'

Both will include 1080p encoded transfers and PCM 5.1 surround uncompressed soundtracks (traditional Dolby Digital 5.1 options are also provided for both releases).

'Into the Blue' will also contain all of the same features as the standard DVD release, including a filmmaker commentary and a featurette, though extras have not yet been announced for 'RoboCop.' Neither title will include any exclusive HD content.

Retail for each title is $28.99.

"Would I rather be feared or loved? Um...easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me."
--Michael Scott, The Office

"When I get sad I just stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story."
--Barney Stinson, How I Met Your Mother
