It is the very same cut as the previous extended cut DVD, I just finished it, being a very big fan of the film. It is very much worth the double dip. It has all the same features as the original, but it also adds deleted scenes and outakes. The audio is now 5.1(instead of the weak stereo track)and the picture transfer is sharper,less EE,almost no grain now, and has lost the nicks and scratches in the added scenes.All in all a great re-release.
