In order of merit:

1.Frightmare (1974) ***
2.House of Mortal Sin (1976) ***
3.House of Whipcord (1974) **1/2
4.The Comeback (1978) **
5.Die Screaming, Marianne (1971) **

Although I had heard of a few of Pete Walker's films, I had never seen any until that 5-Disc coffin-shaped Box Set came along from Anchor Bay UK; having greatly enjoyed their Amicus set, I went for this and the Norman J. Warren Collections practically blindly but, all in all, I don't regret buying them, especially the Walker set. Having said that, MARIANNE is clearly the weakest of the lot and I was even underwhelmed somewhat by WHIPCORD...but then FRIGHTMARE and MORTAL SIN were far better than I was expecting them to be. I now look forward to catching up with the upcoming THE FLESH AND BLOOD SHOW (1972) and perhaps even SCHIZO (1976) which has been available for some time already - both on R1.
