*1. Safe - A (one of my favorite films of the 90's, one of Julianne Moore's best performances)
2. Far From Heaven - B+ (I was really high on this film when I first saw it but have cooled to it a bit since. I don't think Haynes updating made the film more resonant and there are already two superior versions)
3. I'm Not There - C
4. The Velvet Goldmine - C (Didn't get much out of this sex, drugs and Glam & Roll story except for another visit from Ewan McGregor's "little bishop in a turtleneck")
