My personal favorite
underappreciated zombie film would be 1976's
Shock Waves , Aquatic Nazi Zombies - Peter Cushing - Cheesy early synth score - John Carradine - Reasonably good makeup FX - The Kid from
Flipper - A
very young Brooke Adams in a bikini....what more could you want?
My favorite cheese-ball one would be
Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
....ugg...it's a cornball bad hair bloody bellbottom jeans good time for all! Although it does have a fairly effective score
* and pretty good Makeup FX, the FX are from the same man who did the M-FX in
Shock Waves, Alan Ormsby...who also stars in CSPWDT and gives one of the MOST annoying performances I have ever seen. Kill him as quick as you can will be your wish as you watch the film but you will have to wait for any sort of satisfaction for that wish....but in the meantime there are plenty of bad actors to get eaten as well as horribly stereotypical gay "queen" characters, black magic, bad show tunes, hilarious 70's fashions, blood, death, feasting...ENJOY!
*Well that is if the word effective means high pitched shrill synth squeals...then effective it is!
