Undead - From the land down under, this one is a little out there with its mix of aliens and zombies. Not too bad, but a couple of stupid scenes really hurt it.

The Stink of Flesh - Indie undead outing that explores sex after the zombie holocaust. Gore and kinky sex - you want more than that? Amateurish and dumb at times, though it gets ahold of itself in the second half.

Dead Meat - Irish zombies! A new strain of mad cow disease causes an outbreak of zombies. Can the few survivors stranded in the countryside make it to safety? Doesn't really try anything new (or silly), just good ol' zombie madness.

They Came Back - Interesting French twist on zombies: just what would we do if the dead started returning? Would their loved ones want them around? Can they get their old jobs back? Do they still have to pay taxes and can they collect social security?

King of the Zombies - silly, early forties B-movie about a mad scientist on a tropical island creating zombies for the Axis war effort. Silly trifle.

Land of the Dead - George Romero returns to the living dead genre in spectacular fashion. The world is completely overrun by the living dead and the few surviving humans have holed up in a barricaded city. Most of the populace lives in poverty but a select few live in a lavish highrise run by a slimy buisnessman. Mercenaries keep the rich folk supplied with goodies looted from nearby towns and it's in one of these that they incur the wrath of a new breed of zombies - living dead who've retained enough intelligence to plot revenge! Could have been fleshed out more - one gets the feeling much was left out - but still a welcome return to zombieland for Romero.
