I dunno, I would certainly clean the main laser lens thingy, especially if it has been not used for quite a while.

I mean, but if your floor vibrates it real good, relocation of sorts may be the only real solution.

Is it in the same vertical plain as you DVD player that does not skip? If it's not maybe try that.
