Maybe we should work up an interactive page where people could enter their viewings and rankings into a standarized system, thus breaking the work up among all the members.
Even having people submit a list in a standard form is not enough due to the various naming conventions (and year of entry) standards that they follow. That's why you basically need to have a central list where they could click check boxes for "have seen" and then enter a ranking for any top 10 film.
Maybe a simplier idea would be to post an "official" list of all films up for consideration for that film year with their "proper" names used. Then people could edit that list by deleting out films they didn't see and moving their top 10 to the top of the list with a cut and paste.
That would take zero programming. Of course you would still have an issue with on-going updates in that case.
