The LFM-1 is essentially a Hsu STF-3 clone. I reviewed the same, and the hotlink is provided in my signature block. Tom Nousaine at S&V recently tested the LFM-1; read his review for another opinion.
The two subwoofers will have a similar frequency response and clean output capability down to about 25 Hz. Below 25 Hz, the LFM-1 will quickly trail off in terms of extension and clean output; this is corroborated both by my test data on the STF-3, and Nousaine's test data on the LFM-1.
The SVS will exhibit better deep extension and higher clean output in the 18-25 Hz region because it has more internal volume and a lower tune point, and is optimized for performance in this bandwidth.
