Chris, You are correct, The Maestro is a terrific machine. Following up on the "what can you measure" thoughts... and what the Maestro was doing that the B4+ did not... When watching that "armeggeddon" scene, the B4+ had 105 dB peaks in the 25-30 Hz range... The Maestro had those, AND some 95 dB peaks on the 12-15 Hz range. And you could FEEL the hits.
It could well be the slower roll-off gives the Maestro its subjective edge...
