I was just reading about how the consumer electronics association has introduced a standard for rating car audio amps in terms of power. Are they going to introduce a similar standard for home amps and receivers. I know the car audio standard is needed for sure after seeing the "optimistic" ratings on car amps. Are they planning to do the same for home amps? Is it even needed? It would still be nice to know the true power rating, but obviously still let my ears make the final choice.
