It shouldn't matter, because the message will still be listed as being sent from the email address listed at HTF for the sender. That's why there's a note on the message entry screen that "by using this form, your email address will become available to the user who you are emailing".

The reason I'm asking this is that someone told me he's trying to reply to the email message I sent to him using the 'email' button in his message. But I haven't any email from him directly or through hometheaterforum.com. BTW, my email account registered here is on hotmail.com.

Hotmail has also become more aggressive about filtering lately. Have you checked your "bulk" mail?
