I watched this a couple of weeks ago and had the exact same reaction that you did. I did enjoy the excess blood during the suicide scenes. I had to stop the disc I was laughing so much.
Other than that this film makes no sense. People are introduced for not reason, scenes go nowhere, and by the end I was ready for it to end.
I think I gave it a C+. It might be worth a rental for fans of the genre and it is very stylish but by the end it has become such a mess that you forget that it started out to be about teen suicides.
