fwiw, i have one and am pretty happy with it. i have it hooked up to my mits 65" via the dvi connection.
picture-wise, i'm very happy. movies appear detailed, nice color tones, etc. the difference between the dvi connection and regular composite or s-video is pretty significant.
unit seems pretty durable, tray feels solid, etc. the remote didn't matter to me since i have a mx-500, but it's decent enough.
i think it's certainly worth a try.
